    I don't care about pitch counts. It's the playoffs, the pitch counts won't amount to much as much as actual results. If the Reds score 5 runs on 80 pitches against Halladay, it's a success.

    Exactly.

    The pitch count age has conditioned people to get too carried away over swinging at the first pitch. For some guys, the first pitch is the best one you'll see.
