all of Volquez's first pitches are nowhere close.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Little concerned with EV flying open in the 1st....lots of those pitches coming in high and outside.

This is what he was doing in August.

Howard flies out to left. 1-0 Phillies after 1.

Could have been a lot worse. Just shows that you can't let them swipe extra bases.

Gomes caught that in the palm of his hand...not the webbing.

Well great. Now Bruce's homer this inning will only tie it.

Yessir, that is definitely the case. It looks like he's trying to overthrow. Hopefully it's just the jitters and he'll calm down in the second inning.

Just made a bad pitch on Victorino. Should have came in with some hard stuff.

I was a little irritated that Volquez didn't turn and fire that ball to second just prior to the swipe of third. Cabrera had clearly snuck in behind him...you've got to at least try to keep him close.

Saw that too. He didn't exactly take a great track to the ball either.

I can't say the double was lucky. You have to hand it to the Phils for getting that hit.

Definitely should have thrown to 2nd. Victorino was basically begging to be put back on the bag.
