The Reds were hacking at a lot of first pitches in game one. Just because Halladay was throwing first pitch strikes doesn't mean they were good pitches to hit. He was nailing the corners (and off the corners) all night. You need to make him work. The more pitches he throws the better chance there is he makes a mistake.
The real shame of it is, the one time the Reds got him in the stretch he threw an absolute cookie to Stubbs, but all he could do was foul it back. It would have been nice to see how Halladay pitched out of the stretch.
