Ronald Torreyes needs a better autograph!

Take a look a this autographed baseball card I found on ebay of Ronald Torreyes:

    Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-Ronald-Torr...item2eb06b9df0

Though it is pretty funny that he printed his name, I think this is fairly common for very young players just out of the Venezuelan or Dominican summer leagues, who never have been asked for autographs before in their home countries. I think their was an even funnier Cueto autograph a couple of years ago - I will have to try and find it.

You are correct, it is a very common thing for young players from latin America to sign their names like this.

    lol.

This reminds me of Kory Feiner, who was with the organization last year. He was proud of his signature because it was one of the few legible ones. He'd give people a hard time (well at least me) when I did my signature because it was brutal (well, he called it that. I called it a big league signature)

He better hurry and work on it. If he moves like he did the 2nd half of this season, he'll be in the show by Memorial Day.

Wonder if they just dont know cursive to sign in it, some still working on speaking and written English as it is. I have a Cueto auto like that from a couple years ago.

I am a big autograph collector-started in early 80's as a kid chasing Luke Appling onto the field at a Durham Bulls game to get him to sign a ball. Only for my enjoyement, never sold a single one. I enjoy hearing and watching how players go about it, as you mentioned Insider. I go to the USA games every year and they do an autograph line one day each year. It is fun to watch the players looking at the others sigs and comparing, teasing, etc about the sigs, I never thought they would care much or take it seriously unless they collect themselves.
