"I think we’re starting to get to the point where people are starting to get tired of this stretch of ball,” Votto said. “I think something needs to start changing and start going in a different direction. I’m going to do my part to help make that change.”
Cueto was shaky but did not deserve to give up a run.
The most unsurprising error in the history of errors. That's what happens when you can't twist your body.
"No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference." ~Tommy Lasorda
Funny thing is that in limited action....Janish has had some success against Hamels.
Dusty Baker is worrying more about the player than the team.
He makes 3.5 million dollars or whatever to do the right thing. He doesn't do it enough when it matters.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.
Game 2 was lost by giving away runs. Dusty learned nothing.
If I'm Paul Janish, I want out of here so bad.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
"the decision" didn't take long to bite the Reds in the butt
Nice.
