Hanging slider. A bit too far for Stubbs to have a chance.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
There is no way Stubbs can get that, unless he climbs the wall.
Nope. He wouldn't have gotten it.
~edit~ on second thought....now I'm not so sure. But regardless, the ball was in the stands. Can't really blame the fans on that one.
Like game 1, what the Phillies offense does now does not matter as long as the Reds bats are dormant. 1-0, 2-0 or 15-0 - it doesn't matter.
This game is still within reach, but only if the offense wakes up.
When did Bartman move to Cincinnati?
We'll go down in history as the first society that wouldn't save itself because it wasn't cost effective ~ Kurt Vonnegut
This will not be reversed.
Stubbs had a pretty small chance on it....but a fantastic effort.

Official HR, as expected
Great effort by Stubbs.
Ground out to end the inning. 2-0 Phillies.
Time to break out the bats fellas!
5 IP, 1 ER and he's going to take the loss. Heck of an effort by Cueto tonight. He really showed me something.
