That is not one of my most painful losses, that is just awesome.

YouTube - 2005 NCAA Mens Basketball Championship Game Higlights

I refuse to even watch this one. I cried for probably two hours that night. I actually was in a Cincinnati hotel watching that game. The infamous Joe Randa walkoff homer against the Mets was earlier that day. Good start to the day, bad end.

Most of you are too young to remember it, but trust me, the 7th game of the 1972 World Series was pretty horrible. If I'd known that the Machine had two world championships in its near future it wouldn't have been so bad, but at the time you just thought maybe this was going to be one of those teams that never quite got over the hump.

It would be between that and Super Bowl XXIII....

Right now, game 2 is looking pretty painful. In games 1/3, the Reds were never really into them, but to have that game 2 lead and then blow it the way they did really, really hurts.

Super Bowl XXIII, it isn't close.

Joe Montana will always be an overrated piece of stinking doo doo to me.

    He's the prince of darkness.

The King of Darkness will always be, of course, the Pittsburgh Steelers*.

Can I change mine? UF loses Homecoming game 10-7 to Mississippi State?

That's funny. I can honestly say I hate Hines Ward. He's the only athlete I absolutely despise. I dislike others, but no one comes close to his level.

I'm a big UK fan and the Laettner game and '97 overtime championship loss to Arizona have been mentioned and certainly are up there in the painful loss category.

I really took the '93 final four loss to Michigan's "fab five" pretty hard that year as well. My favorite beer mug ended up in no less than 5000 pieces that night.
