That's a pretty cool thing for them to do.

The Rangers are my team to root for now that The Reds are no longer in it.

I agree. I was thinking so anyway, but this tops it.

    Texas Recipe for success:

Star Player and MVP Candidate with an addiction so strong that even the victory celebration could send him in a downward spiral.

Manager who was caught with Cocaine before the season and whose status was in limbo for a long period.

Power mainstay who was a failed prospect who was banished to AAAA yo-yo status then re-emerged at age 29 as the slugger he was supposed to be years earlier.

A rookie in the closer role when most teams don't dare put that pressure on a kid.

Last year's closer moved to the rotation and becoming the team's best starter all season.

Team declares bankruptcy during the season and is sold to a new ownership group.

Even with Bankruptcy, team acquires high priced TOR Pitcher as the top prize in the deadline trade market.

Just like you'd draw it up I guess.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Good for the Rangers and Josh Hamilton. I am rooting for them against the big-spenders in the ALCS.

Side bar... I do not like celebrating Divisional Series wins with champagne and the like. I find it ridiculous that a team celebrates this sort of thing. Winning your division after a long season? Sure. Winning the Championship Series to advance to the World Series? Sure. Winning the World Series? Of course. Wrapping up the Wild Card? NO! Winning a Divisional Series to advance to the League Champion Series? NO!

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I'm pulling for the Rangers because they are the lesser of all evils that are left. That being said, when they are the lesser of all evils and acquiring an ace in the midst of a financial crisis, you really have to question a lot.

I love me some ginger ale.

My heart wants the Rangers to win.

My head wants the Yankees to win, since nothing will ever change with grossly lopsided payrolls in MLB until people get so disgusted with the annual Yankee $200 million+ World Series appearances and wins that they compel MLB to put a real payroll cap and payroll floor into place.

It warms my heart to see Hamilton having the success he is and earning the respect of all around him. He is a stand up guy and I'll always be glad the Reds gave him the second chance he needed.

Re: Josh Hamilton's celebration for making the ALCS

Since it's not Diet Ginger Ale, that must have made quite a sticky mess.

This must have been an unsatisfying series for fans of either team who went to the games. The visiting team won each of the 5 games!

I've actually seen a few Rangers fans around here this season. I don't remember any other year in the 8 I've lived here where they've been as visible.
