    Zenyatta - Who's Watching?

I have a mild interest in horse racing, but I'll definitely be watching the Breeder's Cup today to see if Zenyatta can finish her career 20-0.

It should be an amazing race. This Goldikova wasn't too shabby either.

I agree. I just watched a replay of it. What a comeback to just barely lose. Too bad she's retiring.

I know very little about horse racing, but it looked like she got blocked in on the inside just as she wanted to make her run out of the last turn. This held her up only a few seconds, but I think it was the difference. Maybe someone here that knows more about these things than I do can give me a yea or nay on this.

Fun race, and it was worth all the buildup.

She had everything going against her- bad start, a large talented field kicking dirt in her face which she wasn't use to having regularly run on synthentic surfaces. The Pace wasn't that fast which is to a closer's detriment. Then she had to pick her way around horses and lost a lot of ground . When she finally got clear, she had to catch Blame, one of the best horses in the world, who had a perfect trip. And shes a filly running against the boys! After all that and she loses by a head. Quite a performance.
