Honus Wagner Baseball Card Sold for $262,900

    And the nuns received $220,000.

I understand the great value of the Wagner card but this "card's sides had been trimmed to fit in a scrapbook,...it was laminated and lost some paper on the back, leaving it in poor condition." Man, the buyer wanted this card bad, no pun intended.

Being super-rich is playing $262,900 for a baseball card, then taking it home and putting it in your bicycle spokes.

The original buyer of the Honus Wagner card never came up with the moola. He received plenty of free publicity for his 7 sports card stores though.

Anyway the new buyer wired the funds to the nuns and everyone now seems as happy as clams.
