    Vladimir Guerrero

Vladimir Guerrero would look real good in a reds uniform next year they could sign him for 5-6 mil a year and he could switch from right to left he is right handed bat the reds have been looking for and he could play average to above average in the field. his arm is still awsome and he could hit 30-35 hrs in gabp. i say sign him to a 3 year deal say 18-20 mil and he could share time with gomes but still get most of the playing time.

    Let the kids play!

I love Vlad, but I think his NL days are well behind him. I just don't think he has the ability/desire to play in the OF anymore.
What if this is as good as it gets?

No thanks. Gomes would look like a gold-glover compared to Vlad's defense.

Ya, he pretty much has to be a DH at this point. I can't see how it makes sense for the Reds. He's a consistently good hitter though, so it is an exciting thought.

I dont think he can even run out to left field anymore let alone play it if he got there.

They don't allow wheelchairs in the outfield.

Seriously, why do people keep wanting to sign all these old guys.

I love Scott Rolen, but his age showed the second half of the season.

That old guy outperformed all Reds hitters but one

    .300 with 29 homers and 115 RBI

he will get 5-8 million which is more that the Reds will pay for any FA this offseason

    Plus we have no DH

This is the National League. I could care less what a guy did as a DH. He hobbles himself off the bench to hit 4 times a game, probably taking a grandpa nap in between at-bats.

Konerko and Thome did pretty well too. Not having to play the field 162 games makes it a ton easier.

Congrats to Vlad, who I like, but he is too old to be an everyday or even part time outfielder in the national league. Sorry.

    Re: Vladimir Guerrero

I would love me some VLAD but not in this league. He'll go to an American League club.
The DH has prolonged many players careers including this one but I for one am glad we don't have it the National League.

    Re: Vladimir Guerrero

The only reason he played 150 Games last Year was he was able to DH 90% of the time.

    143 Games as DH

DH is about all Vlad can do now. He would be Adam Dunn or Gomes revisited in the field. No thanks.
