    MLBN's Triumph & Tragedy

A documentary about the 1919 World Series White Sox vs Reds is on the MLB Network right now.

I recorded it on my DVR; this kind of thing is like chicken soup for the baseball starved soul in the off season. They are also showing an episode of Baseball's Seasons about 1990 this week. Fun viewing for Reds fans.

It was a good show. What was up with how everyone looked though? Half the people they interviewed had red splotches on their faces.

I wasa bit disappointed they didn't spend a little more time on the relative guilt of the players. The late Gene Carney wrote a book, "Burying the Black Sox" that showed a lot of problems with Eliot Asinof's "Eight Men Out".
