Mike "Don't call me Chris" Leake

I have noticed how his name has been tossed around lately as a trade chip. I would like to state right now no damn way I trade him at all! I love Johny Cueto but would deal him before Leake. Leake showed great poise and was expected to do nothing and yet in the 1st half of the season was arguably the Red's best starter.

Maybe I have become gun shy but after seeing the Uggla deal I truly believe the Reds can add an impact bat without having to give away any starter of value to acquire a reasonable LF and possible SS to add to this team. I also love having pitching depth and am in no hurry to see it dealt away.

    Who's Chris Leake?
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

I don't think people WANT to trade Leake or Cueto or any of our young starting pitchers. It's easy to get attached to these guys. But, I think everyone would love a move that improves the odds of the Reds getting to the World Series. The Reds have to be open to any deal as long as it makes sense. Two young starters like Leake and Bailey (+ maybe a decent, but not too good, prospect) for someone like Greinke + something else? I think they'd have to at least think about a deal like that.

Well, there's also Kelly Leake, provided he's got a really cool moped and likes to do donuts in the outfield.

    Mike Leake, smart guy.

Congrats to king felix for winning. Shows you that win & losses are not indicative of success and his #s are ridiculous beyond that
