That's a good point...he also had injury concerns.

They're trying out a cloning experiment. If successful, they will use it on Mike Moustakas and attempt to take over the world.

The Rangers signed Dutch middle infielder Nick Urbanus. He has already experienced playing with a Major Leaguer in Rikkert Faneyte, an ex-Ranger.

Reds sign 2003 ninth rounder, outfielder David Cook to a minor league contract.

#Reds sign corner OF David Cook, who has solid defensive tools and raw power (26 HR in ’09). OPS vs. AA LHPs last two years: 840 & 941.

Re: Minor League Free Agent Signings

According to BA, the Reds signed Welinton Ramiriez. Looks like filler for the thin OF in A+ and AA. He'll be 24 in April and had decent numbers as a 22 Y/O in Short Season A ball and at Low A. If 2010 was the typical Florida State League slump, he might be useful in the AA OF. Don't know the scouting reports, but judging by his numbers he appears to have ho hum but not terrible skills accross the board.

RHP Bryan Bullington, who was just released by the Royals, is going to sign with the Hiroshima Carp.
Byrdak was the guy who pitched one pitch on Tuesday night, September 28, in the Year of Our Lord, Two Thousand And Ten to a young man named Jay Bruce.

The rest of the story is immortalized on You Tube or on my DVR.
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.
