Beacat mascot arrsted for throwing snowballs

    Here is the video:
YouTube - University of Cincinnati Mascot Arrested During Game (Video)

And a link to an article:
    http://news.cincinnati.com/article/A...detained-cited

“He was throwing them at the crowd and so of course, people threw back and missed him and hit other people,” said UC Police Capt. Jeff Corcoran.

“The officer asked him to stop and he took exception to that.”

At one point, Garfield shoved the officer and both ended up on the ground, he said.
I've heard some say the mascot slipped and did not shove the officer.

Another feather in the cap for Cincinnati police.

I'm a UC fan, but there was no excuse for that. You don't shove a cop, EVER. If he really did push him, he's lucky he was only charged with disorderly conduct and not assault on a police officer.

That kid embarassed the school and everyone associated with UC yesterday. Pathetic.

The Bearcat slipped and fell off the Jimmy Nippert monument and hit the cop in the shoulder on his way down. The cop had his back turned to the Bearcat and assumed he did this on purpose, hence the arrest and citation.
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

Police officers over-reacting in Cincinnati? Impossible!
