Torreyes gets my vote yet again, perhaps the 4th time is the charm.

It's Soto for me in fact I probably should have voted for him earlier, I still like his upside with the bat.

The problem I have with Torreyes is there is no pedigree or scouting report that suggest his numbers were not more than a hot streak and given his level of competition plus sample size it just does not excite me. I am intrigued yes, but there are plenty of promising guys still on the board who we know a bunch more about.

    I went with Correa

I don't think he's going to hit the board for a while but I just can't pass on Dorn any longer.

I disagree with your assessment. This is a guy that was playing at the national club level for Venezuela before signing, has been getting write-ups in Baseball America, was named the Outstanding Hitter in Instructional League, and the Reds saw fit to ensure he got a taste at Dayton at the end of the season.

Where are the baseball america write ups? I may have just missed them.

PS - I have no problem with a vote for Correa, just think Torreyes is deserving of consideration also

Between the scouting reports and the numbers, Correa's gotta be in the top 20 at least

That's why I contend the Reds system is so deep. A lot of interesting guys still to come

This is going to be a fun one for me, because I don't have strong feelings about any of these guys... I can listen to the arguments and decide in a day or two.

Re: Who is Redszone's #20 prospect?

Kevin Goldstein wrote this about Jonathan Correa back at the end of July.

Yet another interesting young arm in the system; 19-year-old Dominican has 25 Ks over 16 innings in last three starts thanks to 91-93 mph fastball and plus slider.

2010 was Correa's age 19 season (he turned 20 in September). As a 19-year old in the hitter friendly AZL and Pioneer League, Correa posted a 3.26 ERA and 19 BB/83 K ratio in 66.1 innings. He's 6-foot-1 168 pounds, so there's room for projection there. He's already throwing 91-93 mph and has a chance to add another mph or two. His slider is already a plus pitch, and I'm sure Mario Soto will work with him on a changeup, if he isn't already. There's a lot to like here.

I agree there is a lot to like about Correa..... also keep in mind that Torreyes is 2 years younger. He turned 18 in Sep.

Is Torreyes really a third basemen long term? If he could slide over to second, I could maybe see a case for the guy
