    I found these stats on a JC College website. The school is in Manhattan, and the catcher's name is Frey Sosa. Not really going out on limb that it's the same person. I don't think JC College Baseball in the northeast is all that competitive, though.

    when I used to scout and recruit players out of those kinds of schools there were lots of good players but very little pitching....obviously with pitching being at such a premium the better talent goes to the large schools and conferences unless they can't meet the academic req's....or unless they get drafted and sign of course.

    I don't see a big deal about charging someone $300/month to attend a baseball academy either. There's kids that spend more than that on music/art/dance/etc to chase the dream.
