Re: Official RedsZone Television Viewing Thread

Am I imagining things, or is NBC's summer programming strategy to set cameras around in random places and broadcast whatever they pick up?

Oh well, i got to see an old movie I hadn't seen (The Wrong Box with Michael Caine, Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, Peter Sellers, Ralph Richardson, and John Mills) tonight on TCM because nothing else was on, and actually laughed out loud--I don't do that much.

Best lines: Peter Sellers: Would you like a cat? (his place is covered with them)
Peter Cook: No, I collect eggs.
Sellers: Eggs, yes. Oh, I enjoy an egg myself, yes. They don't make good pets, though; you can never get them in at night. they're so quiet.

Michael Caine's love interest, who he previously thought was his cousin: No, I'm an orphan. My father was a missionary, and he was eaten by his Bible class.
Michael Caine: What about your mother?
Loe interest: Her too. They always eat them both.

    Quotes are paraphrases.

It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.

I've watched the first 2 episodes of Orange is the New Black. It is Netflix produced and the creator of Weeds is involved. Like it so far.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

My wife and I are 4 episodes in, and we love it. I've never seen Weeds, is it similar?

Dexter has been on a steady decline for several seasons now, but I was holding out some hope for the final season. So far it's been terrible. Shame to see a once awesome show come to this.

Dexter is silly if you wanna nitpick it but I can look past it's many flaws and enjoy it still.

+Similar, I don't know, maybe somewhat. The first 3 seasons of Weeds are as funny as anything I've ever seen.

My wife and I took forever to get around to watching the last season, basically because for the same reason. Still sad that it's over.

All the melodrama crap with his sister has been a major drain on these past few seasons. I am so "DONE" with that character. Just annoying.

Under the Dome is passable ... New show starring Liev Schreiber on Showtime called Ray Donovan is pretty interesting so far. Jon Voight is in it, that guy is a great actor.

Finished the show last night. While it certainly wasn't the worst ending to a show ever, that ending sucked.

Probably going to start up the new Netflix show next week. I had started House of Cards, but I just couldn't stay interested half way through the third episode. I can see the appeal, just not my kind of show.

House of Cards was good not great if you ask me. Def worth a watch if you like the stuff though.

There's the film prequel Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. It's definitely...different. I like it, but I think most people were disappointed by it.
