I agree about it being bad, basically from season 6 on. Well not bad, still funny but not nearly as good as the early seasons. I love the show, but I think they're trying to be too outrageous. Their early stuff was just taking a simple idea and making it ridiculous but now it seems they're starting at ridiculous and trying to go further.

I'm not gonna bad mouth them too much though because Pepper Jack is serious.

Does this pick up at some point? I started watching this based on your recommendation and by the end of episode two I was hoping that episode three started with a terrorist attack on that gym killing all the characters and an entirely new story line is developed.

So I finally saw the first two seasons of The Walking Dead.

    It did not suck.

It did, however, freak me out. It's filmed in my hometown in Georgia so I keep seeing landmarks I know. A little too close to home.

The only thing that bugs me is how good of shots everybody are. That and the endless streams of bullets without reloading

The end of season 2 was by far the most egregious example of unlimited ammo I've ever seen. I also get bugged when they waste a bullet putting down a zombie they could have just as easily stabbed.

But once you suspend reality, I find the show to be quite enjoyable.

Wait til season 3, Raisor! IMO that is when the show starts picking up.

    MILD VAGUE SPOILERS:
I find looking forward to new episodes of Walking Dead to be more enjoyable than the actual quality of the episodes would suggest. For a show with as much potential and popularity as it has, they sure find a way to squander a lot of the former. I'm hoping Season 2 will end up being the "weird" season and that the rest of the show will build on seasons 1 and 3's more action and pulp horror sensibility. Also, one of the most annoying and inconsistent characters is dead so things should improve much more on that front alone. Heck, maybe they'll even find something for Tyrese's group to do this year.

I checked out "The Dresden Files" on Netflix last night. Meh. I only watched one episode and don't feel the need to dive back in.

fwiw, I didn't think I'd seen the show before, but I remember Bob's skull. It's possible I've read one of the books at some point. The more I think about it, the more likely this explanation seems.

edit: I just went to wikipedia and checked out the differences in the way Bob is portrayed in the TV series and the book, and the book's what I remember.

New fall TV started last night with "Sleepy Hollow". I enjoyed it. It looks like a Fringe and I liked that show, so we'll see how it goes.

I enjoyed it as well. I worry it could take on a monster of the week type of show.

Kinda makes me mad AMC decided to split Man Men season in half 7-7. It's only 1 extra episode and 1 extra year.
