    The Strain is officially awful.

I find The Leftovers to be very good, but I think it is probably polarizing.

It is another show, where I wouldn't care if every character got hit by a bus. The only guy I like so far is the exterminator and he wasn't even in the last episode.

Turn and Halt and Catch Fire have been renewed by AMC. Not surprised by Turn but I thought the latter was dead in the water.

Given some time, word of mouth will get HACF the attention and viewership it deserves.

Besides, with Breaking Bad and Mad Men ending, I don't think AMC can just give up on every show after one season (RIP Rubicon).

I watched all 22 episodes of season 7 of The West Wing yesterday.

Started at 530am and went until 1130pm.

I think I broke my brain.

I saw the pilot for "The Flash" just recently online, which is coming to CW this fall. I liked what I saw and I think the CW will have another hit on their hands.

I was kind of up and down on The Leftovers this season but I finished up. Maybe I'm a sap but the last 3 episodes, especially the last, drew me in and I am excited for the next season.

Watched the first episode of the last season of Boardwalk Empire last night. I'm kinda over it. They probably should've stopped after 3 seasons.

I heard tonight's episode is going to be 2.5 hours long.

    10 pm - 12:30 am

My wife is a superfan, and as a result have seen every episode, but a 2.5 hour premier is one of the most ridiculous, sellout things I have ever seen in my television viewing life.

I agree. I also slogged through that first episode.

Part of the reason for FXs rise in TV has been their willingness to let the show runners and creative people basically do what they want. If Kurt Sutter says he wants to have a longer episode than so be it. I agree that is super long though, maybe could have cut that into 2 weeks.

    Sellout things?

Seriously? This show isn't on PBS. It's on a nationally broadcasted cable channel that runs commercials. The entire premise of it is to make money.

And so what? Is it good or not, because that is all that matters.
