Really? I thought it was good, mainly because I like both Harrelson and Mcconaughey. I thought it moved a little slow until the hook right at the end. It is going to be something I stay tuned to, I guess I was just expecting a little more from that first episode.

Yeah, I thought the acting was exceptional and was executed well overall.

Yes. I liked the openers as well. Don't like that there's only three more episodes for "Childish Gambino".

Yea, that's a real bummer. He's been my favorite character from episode one. I'm hoping he comes back for a full season 6 run (and the movie, of course).

Second episode was Sunday - was not disappointed. The acting remains top-notch, the cinematography is great, and I'm hooked on the story.

I am all onboard of True Detectives. At times I forget they are even investigating a killing and become more intrigue with the McConaughey character. Where as Cohle been all these years up until the 2012 interview sessions is what I keep thinking about ......

Usually TV shows have a team of writers and directors that are all managed by a showrunner. True Detective has one writer, and one director. I see a lot shows going that route . Last night episode was great. Cohn the character is reaching Walter White status.

True Detective, through three episodes anyway, is phenomenal. Can't really hype it enough.

They've all been great but that last episode was an incredible hour of TV.

True Detective does kind of remind me Breaking Bad in that the episodes move pretty slow. The character development has been top notch. I am really enjoying McConaughey's acting. Harrelson at times I think can over act, but I have enjoyed him as well. Each episode so far has had a hook in there at the end that makes you excited for the next one.

Man, this True Detective sounds great. Making me think of subscribing to cable or satellite. I cut the cord last summer and haven't regretted it. Going to have to find someone who to give me their cable password so I can watch on HBO GO.
