I love that they completely throw out the idea of trying to be realistic.

I love the pop culture references.

That in itself would be a phenomenal drinking game in college.

Which Community could then make fun of.

    Which would be a drink.

Which would be made fun of.

It could very well be both the greatest drinking game of all time and cause a rip in the fabric of reality itself.

Which is, like, really cool and junk.

It's great how they poke fun at conventional TV/movie precepts, plus everything Troy says is hilarious to me.

I have been watching Game of Thrones recently. Love the murder, intrigue, and political back stabbing. It kind of started off slow but really picked up as the season has gone by.

I vowed not to start the series on HBO until my wife was done reading the book. She finished a week or so ago, and have watched the first 2. So far its pretty true to the book, though some of the characters in the show are older than in the book. there are so many characters/plots to introduce from the book, I think the show couldn't help but start slow. If it holds form, it will quicken pace all the way up the series finale.

I got to see the pilot of JJ Abrams new show "Alcatraz". It starts January 2012 I believe, but if you like JJ's shows you're going to like this one.

I haven't read the books so I don't know what to expect from the series. I'm not that much into reading fiction for some reason. The latest episode was brilliant, in my opinion. It is really picking up and the plots are really well written. I also think the main reason why some of the characters are older in the TV version, esp. Daenerys Targaryen, is that there would be a lot of controversy if they were shown as younger on TV. Without reading the books, I know that Daenerys, for example, is way younger. HBO would certainly catch a lot of flak for showing a pregnant girl who is underage.

Game of Thrones really has been great. I need to reread the books before the fifth comes out this summer.

I've been watching The Wire. I'm through 2 seasons, and just started the 3rd. Pretty amazing show.

As have I. I am currently on the 4th season and the 2nd was my favorite. Its a very well done show and the character development is top notch. My only complaint is that its takes a while to watch a season. And Netflix only sends me a 2-3 episode DVD when I order them.
