As opposed to the Seahawks........who beat the defending Champs yesterday as an 11 point dog? I'd say they proved they belong by what they accomplished yesterday.

I wouldn't. They were given a gift. Homefield w/ a season like they had?

You are saying a 7-9 team deserves not only a playoff spot but homefield against a team w/ 3 more W's?

If the Saints were so good, they should have beaten Seattle no matter where the game was being played.

Lol. Never said the 'aints were "so good". But they did deserve their spot, pondscumbirds didn't. Losing record and you get home field? Unacceptable.

Yep, and they proved it. The Saints weren't the best team in their division. And they couldn't beat Seattle on the road, so obviously they deserved it. That's how the NFL system has worked for years. The Seahawks winning at home confirmed the system works.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree even though you are way off base. Your logic is backwards.

With the way the Saints defense played yesterday, the outcome would have been the same if they played the game on Bourbon Street.

You know the Falcons are huge Eagles fans today.

With the Colts eliminated and now the Chiefs out, I can only say: go NFC.

I agree. My four least favorite AFC teams are left now and I just can't make myself root for any of them. I love that the Seahawks upset the Saints yesterday only because it was so unexpected to everyone but I really don't have a horse in the race anymore. Go NFC....IMO any of them are better the AFC choices, LOL

I don't really care who wins now, but I really hope the Pats stomp the Jets next week.

Yep, I'm backwards. The Seahawks won, but they shouldn't have been in the playoffs. It's the same in baseball. The wildcard teams lose home field advantage as well. Every other pro sport does it the same too. Division winner are rewarded with home filed advantage.

Terrible throw/idea by Vick to lose the game for the eggles. On to next week, Falcons should beat the Pack by 3 TD's and looks like the Bears get a bye.

Re: NFL Playoffs: Who Are You Rooting For?

My rooting interests for next week.

Ravens v. Steelers- I have a very strong hatred for the Steelers, rivaled only by my hatred of the Cards (How will Chris Carpenter explain my hatred to his son?
Packers v. Falcons- I've rooted slightly for the pack since a few years ago when Favre was still there. Oh- and I double-checked to make sure it was the Falcons who the Packers were playing next week.
Seahawks v. Bears- I have zero interest in the bears, and the Seahawks endeared me this week.
Jets v. Patriots- Lesser of two evils, I guess. Mr. Foot vs. Mr. Cheat. Mr. pretty boy vs. Mr. bad attitude

The Packers and Seahawks are my main superbowl hopes.

That's a nightmare road trip for a team from the gulf coast (NOLA, Tampa, Miami, J-Ville) to Seattle. Long flight, hostile playing conditions.

Big time advantage to a team like Seattle.
