Re: Congresswoman shot in head, 4 dead, least 7 injured

This whole thing is tragic and I can't even begin to wrap my head around what would bring a person to commit such an act.

Have you guys heard some of the stuff they've already dug up on this guy from his online accounts? Sounds like the deluded ramblings of a mad man. He must have been on any number of mind bending drugs.

My thoughts and prayers are out to the victims and their families. And I can only hope this person is made so very accountable for this crime. This makes me just sick.

Saw that. He's all over the place. There is also a screen cap of his myspace page, seems like just some troubled kid. Pretty sad.

    This is shocking.

Just a terrible tragedy. A federal judge dead, a child dead....amazing that the Congresswoman is alive.
The shooter sounds like a total nutjob.

They have the press conference on now, I sure hope the sheriff giving this presser isn't in charge of heading up the investigation. He seems like a clueless bafoon who is more interested in getting on his personal soap box than giving information about what happened here.

So sad for the congresswoman, the other victims, and all their friends and family. What a tragic event.

Seriously? Baffoon? I really enjoyed hearing Sheriff Dupnik speak. The questions the press were asking were largely entirely pointless, and the questions he chose not to answer I could easily see them not having information enough to answer with or that answering would straight up be a bad idea. But when you're being lobbied with questions like "what was the event like? Was everybody standing in a single file line?" irrelevant.

My very first thought, honestly, was summed like this: MKULTRA and Project Bluebird. Whether people want to think about the possibility existing or not, these things did take place within our nation's history, and some credible folks have insisted they never stopped.

I'll avoid getting into whether they played a part in the Brothers' Kennedy assassinations, but when I checked out the YouTube channel posted in this thread, I saw two interesting things: first, the video posted by this kid that mentioned Judge Roll and Mind Control. The second, his own YouTube channel has a video that refers to "Mind Controller" -- "If I Am The Mind Controller, Then I Control The Belief And The Religion."

I understand people understandably would have a hard time accepting or wrapping their minds around that possibility. But I feel those things happen in our society, and when you get these random shootings with loonies like this, I really wonder...

    This guy is a nut.

    This is so horrific.

I hope his life is an absolute living hell once he's sentenced. I'll pull the trigger if they'd allow it as the death penalty.

This piece of crap also killed a 9 year old kid.

    House postpones next week's schedule

The second-ranking House Republican said he would postpone the body’s legislative schedule in the wake of the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (R-Ariz.).

Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), said in a statement that “all legislation currently scheduled to be considered by the House of Representatives next week is being postponed so that we can take whatever actions may be necessary in light of today’s tragedy.”

Among those bills was a repeal of the Democrats’ health care legislation. Republicans also are supposed to head to Baltimore Thursday for their annual legislative retreat.

It has been reported that Christina Taylor Green was born on September 11, 2001. She was born on a day of horrible, almost unimaginable violence and death and perished on another such day.
The dead include three people in their 70s, including a minister.
