Solid deal if he stays healthy and contributes decent innings. I'm not jumping up and down but there is definitely nothing to complain about either. This is very minimal risk for the Reds with decent upside.

It's a good number, slightly lower than some expected. Let's avoid arbitration on all of them.

Willis (stricly LOOGY, but perhaps a Micha Owens occasional pinch hitting role or mopup duty), Bray (LOOGY+) and Chapman (dominate vs either hand) could provide a pretty darn solid punch from the left side out of the pen. Buron, Massett & Cordero makes you pretty strong from the right side. Then theres Logan, Smith the slew of starters in AAA who could be a long man, etc... and the bullpen should be a big strength for the Reds.

W/ Bray's delivery, how long before he has to undergo TJS again? He's definently got that inverted W that was so talked about last year, how long can he last the 2nd time around? Another 10+ years (or essentially beyond his ML usefullness?)

Burton's a long shot, IMO. Ondrusek is definitely ahead of him, and Arredondo, Lecure and Smith likely are too. Things can change in ST, of course, but Burton has fallen off quite a bit in the last couple years.

    Good deal for the Reds.

    Cordero CL
    Masset SU
    Chapman SU
    Burton MR
    Arredondo MR
    Bray MR
    Ondrusek MR/LR

That has the makings of a lights out pen if Cordero can keep it together one last season. Do it for a contract CoCo!

I think the pen is going to be the strongest area of the team. Lots of depth with Fisher, Smith, Willis, Lecure, Herrera, Valiquette, Horst, Krebs, etc. Maybe a starter who can't crack the rotation like Leake or Maloney.

Still seems like an area to deal from in the spring.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
