A jury found an Ohio man guilty on Tuesday of drowning his wife in a bathtub, the third time the man has been tried for the same alleged crime.
Ryan Widmer, 30, of Mason, Ohio, was convicted of killing his 24-year-old wife, Sarah, in 2008.
His first trial in 2009 ended in a guilty verdict, but the conviction was set aside due to juror misconduct, according to local media reports. The jury deadlocked in the second trial last year.
Widmer's lawyers argued that Sarah Widmer could have suffered from a medical problem that contributed to her death. Mason is near Cincinnati.
"This is not right," Ryan Widmer said after the jury verdict was announced. "I am innocent. I would never hurt my wife, never."
