Ladies and Gentlemen I need feedback on what to do!

So without making this a long drawn out thing my friend is trying to hook me up with his friend who is a really sweet cute girl. We have now hung out 3 times and I still don't have her number nor have I added her on facebook. The reason for the number is there hasn't been a good private time to ask because we have been out in groups these three times...no biggie and I haven't added her on facebook because I don't want to come off as awkward again no biggie. Now my buddy wanted us all to hangout this weekend which is cool, he went to talk to her about it and without even mentioning my name he asked he she wanted to hangout. She said yeah I can't on Friday or Saturday, what about Sunday night?

Mind you she doesn't at this time if I'll even be there or even in town. Without him saying a word she stops and says "oh wait Sunday won't work if Matt is going back to school will it?" So I am on her mind at least a little bit. Then she tells my buddy she will just skip her family dinner on Saturday if we are all hanging out if that worked for me. My buddy said it would and then said this is fun our little group, trying to pry for information. She replied with yeah it is really fun the four of us hanging out. Being me, her, my buddy and his gal.

The first time we hung out we all got dinner all paid separate. The second time we went out we went to my buddies art show at a gallery and then we got dinner and the waiter brought two checks by accident so I payed for her she was really thankful and nice about it. (everyone told me that was a date I don't think so.) And last time we went out it was dinner and a movie all payed separate again.

So we have been to dinner at an Indian place, a Thai place, and an art gallery. All different things to show I have depth haha. So my two questions to everyone are:

    1. I know I am 21 and have had girlfriends before but usually I initiate flirting and get the numbers myself. In this situation with her being his friend and it being group outings what is the best way without being awkward to get her number?

    2. Where should we go to keep it interesting and the conversation flowing?

Oh and this is a big deal because she loves all sports and when I first met er she was sporting a reds purse and I inquired about it and we proceeded to talk reds for 2 hours. So help would be greatly appreciated.

It might just be me but I think it was a "date" the first time you hung out, man. If it was you, her, your buddy, and his gal - that's a date, imo. Others may disagree with me, but if you're with a couple and a girl, it's a date in my eyes. Even if it's not a very formal date.

I think you should add her on facebook. I know nobody wants to come across as "weird" or being a facebook creeper, but everyone is on facebook anymore. I'm friends now with parents of my friends, old high school teachers, all kinds of people. It's really not a big deal to add someone on facebook, to me.

You never know, if you add her on facebook you might get a message from her with her phone number or asking to hang out alone. I know this because it happened to me.

Three years ago I went out with a buddy, his girlfriend, and one of her friends who was home from OU on Christmas break. I had a good time, went home and added her on myspace (as myspace was still relevant at the time) and then played it cool for a few days. I was hoping to see her again, and then one day I logged into myspace to find a message from her wanting to hang out, complete with a phone number. That's right, she asked ME for another date.

We've been together since January of 2008.

what's it matter that she's your friend's friend? You said that he was trying to set you up to begin with, right? That shouldn't stop you from proceeding for fear of being awkward. Sounds like you've already been on three "semi-dates" at the very least. Just ask to add her on Facebook, it's so universal by now, that it would seem more odd for you to NOT add her than it would to add her, I'm basing this on the fact that she's an avid Facebooker to begin with from how I read that. Believe me, if she's as girly as most girls, she'll be wondering to herself why you haven't, if she knows you're on Facebook. Just ask her if she'd like to go out on a one-on-one date, obviously you like her, ask her out already, don't worry about awkwardness.

If a woman keeps talking to you, she likes you and you should ask her out. Women can talk to all the guys they want, but only choose to talk to the ones they like. If a woman is not into you, she will just stop talking to you, she doesn't want to waste her time. It really is that simple. Trust me, most women I've met, don't talk to me. lol.

    Oh my gosh.

This reminds me of the guy who wants nothing more than to be a chemist so he goes to school to be a gym teacher.

Stop putting obstacles in your own path because of the fear of rejection.

Stop with the rules (since when is it awkward to send a facebook friend request?) preventing you from moving forward.

I just read 7 paragraphs of excuses- make your intentions known and go for it. You couldn't ask for a phone number because people were around? Read that back and see how silly that sounds.

I'm giving you a hard time because I was you 20 years ago and wish someone would have done this for me.

You see all these couples walking around happy, holding hands, married, having kids, dating, blah blah blah? Trust me, they didn't get there through inaction and avoidance.

Go for it dude. Awkward situations are just opportunities to make jokes about the awkwardness. Chicks dig funny guys.

Well she should know I am serious since I am driving down to see her tomorrow so I am going to go for it then I just needed a slight kick in the pants. This is the first woman I have been introduced and hung around since I got out of a 3 year relationship about a year ago which is why I have been tentative because A) I have been out of the game a minute. B) My ex walked all over and cheated on my 3 times so it has been hard for me to be my funny outgoing self. So yeah no more excuses worst thing she can say is no right? So man pants up and Facebook request sent BOOYAH!

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen I need feedback on what to do!

Be confident and be yourself. Women love that. If a specific girl isn't interested, you'll know, but in this case it doesn't sound like that's an issue. She's clearly into you so make your move.

As for the ex situation, forget about that girl. You can't go back and undo what happened, but you can move on from what happened and prevent yourself from repeating those same mistakes of getting walked over. Girls who are self-centered, stuck up you know whats who like to pull that stuff are fairly common, but you hold the ultimate trump card of being able to tell them to screw off. It's better to be out there as a free agent looking for a sweetheart than stuck in a miserable relationship with a dumb you know what.
