Thanks for the link, Ron. I am not sure why the Tribe felt the need for this. Is this making some sort of a point that I am missing (raising money for charity)?
Not trying to be dour. Just trying to understand why this is news and why a MLB team decided to do this "PR stunt" that serves no real purpose. Bill Veeck would be proud (that is... if she appeared in a real MLB game!). Does this now open the door for other non-deserving humans (animals, robots, etc) to get the chance to throw BP to hitters that belong to a professional organizaton?

It seems more legit than those times when Garth Brooks or somebody would join the spring training lineup. It's just spring after all.
