Re: Who is Redszone's #42 prospect?

The interest seems to be slowing down, so I made sure to include a lot of new names on this list. If any of you have any input, it would be appreciated.

I haven't decided whom I'm voting for, but I know it's going to be a fifth round draft pick. I'm leaning toward Wes Mugarian right now. He came out of high school and showed an ability to strike people out (31 Ks in 22.1 IP). He's wilder than his 11 BBs would indicate, but I like his upside.

    Please add Mace Thurman
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I went with Tanner Robles, but I could see the argument for Tuttle, Mugarian and Fairel.

Re: Who is Redszone's #42 prospect?

I went with Robles ahead, drawing him out from a knot of pitchers (Fairel, Tuttle, Mugarian, Ravin) for whom a good case could be made.

That said, I'm glad to see Carlos Sanchez on the list. It's kind of hard to vote for a 5-foot-10 first baseman whose only experience is a year in the Dominican League; but it was a heck of a year. As an 18-year-old, he went 348/434/906. He's a guy I'll be very interested to watch this year. I'd love to see him in Arizona, or possibly Billings.

Re: Who is Redszone's #42 prospect?

Devin Lohman was the Reds' third pick last year. Tyler Cline was a high pick the previous year.

I think they should be re-instated to the list next time. Thanks.

Re: Who is Redszone's #42 prospect?

I'm trying to cycle through all the players equally. All that's needed to get on the poll is to receive one vote or be a reasonable request.

Players being added to the next poll:
    LHP Mace Thurman
    RHP Tyler Cline
    LHP Mitch Clarke
    IF Devin Lohman
    RHP Nick Christiani

If there's anyone else, the leading candidates are:
    RHP Tony Amezcua
    OF Josh Fellhauer
    RHP Jerry Gil
    RHP Brian Pearl
