    Daryl Thompson

Looks like Daryl Thompson bailed out Arredondo mid-inning today--I think it was the eighth--then stayed on to close the one-run game in the ninth. That doesn't necessarily mean he's been considered as a reliever, but it could. A lot of us have noted that he might be better-suited for that role. It would be a good question for the beat guys to ask, but we'll see about that. Meanwhile, anybody have any insight?

From what I have gathered on this board, DT is probably going to be more valuable as a reliever. I'm very inclined to agree from what I have observed.

And IF and When he does stick, we can finally call "the Trade" a success.

Many of us have made the argument that 'The Trade' already is a success. They managed to dump the salaries of redundant players and get something of quality in return (albeit not much).
