I appreciate the suggestions. Valhalla would certainly be on my wish list but I'm not sure I can get on. Isn't it a private course?

I hope the weather's nice for Thursday night. I haven't seen my brother pitch since college.

I don't know. Is your brother planning to play with you? Or even if not, there might be someone in the Louisville organization that can help you get on, if not this trip, another trip down there later in the season.

At any rate, the other course I listed was pretty solid, I think you'd enjoy.

Yes, Valhalla is private. From what I understand, you need to know someone. I haven't played in a long time but I usually played a nice course out in Ft. Knox. But what I hear is that Seneca is the best public course.

I'd love to hear any reports from people who are at the games -- especially with regard to his positioning and footwork. I might drive down to catch a game and just watch him.

Here are some photos from the Bats photo day and workout:

Looks like they redesigned the uniforms - or at least got rid of the pinstripes.

I think those grey tops might just be BP uniforms. Not sure though.

They are, they always wear the gray t-shirts during batting practice, not sure why, as they are not the real BP jerseys. But look at the white jerseys - no more pinstripes, and a purple band around the sleeves.

I think I preferred the pinstripes.

Me too - I don't know why they removed them. It's not a major redesign at all - it just makes them look blander. Last year, they probably only wore the pinstripes 10 times, despite supposedly being the main jerseys. I am not sure why.

Anyway, here is the bats official roster from The Bats Signal, with numbers:

    Pitchers

    18 Scott Carroll
    13 Tom Cochran
    33 Carlos Fisher
    24 Jerry Gil
    52 Daniel Ray Herrera

    32 David Johnson
    62 Matt Klinker
    47 Joe Krebs
    51 Kyle McCulloch
    34 Chad Reineke
    35 Dontrelle Willis

    Catchers

    36 Devin Mesoraco
    8 Corky Miller

    Infielders

    7 Zack Cozart
    17 Danny Dorn
    50 Todd Frazier
    15 Michael Griffin
    9 Kristopher Negron
    3 Chris Valaika

    Outfielders

    23 Yonder Alonso
    27 Brian Barton
    26 Jeremy Hermida

I heard yesterday that Yonder look better in left. I don't recall the exact words used, but it was encouraging.

The black jerseys were cooler because they had those little mesh holes in them. The other jerseys were solid.

The road unis were nice the past couple of years. Sounds like you're describing the road jersey. The black jerseys and gray pants were a perfect road combo.

And like I tell my wife, there are no cooler shades than those worn by Ted Power.

The Bats have grey road jerseys too but wore black at home and away quite a bit.
