2/27/11: Reds @ Indians (ST)- "2011 ST Opener"

    Reds:

    Stubbs 8
    Phillips 4
    Votto 3
    Rolen 5
    Bruce 9
    Gomes 7
    Renteria 6
    Hernandez 2
    Lewis 0

Maloney 1, Volquez scratched due to visa issues.
Thompson, LeCure, Herrera and Fisher to follow.

    Indians:

    Brantley 8
    A. Cabrera 6
    Santana 2
    Hafner 0
    Kearns 9
    O. Cabrera 4
    LaPorta 3
    Buck 7
    Donald 5

    Tomlin 1

Note OCab in the Indians lineup batting 6th and playing 2B.

Game is on WLW, 3:05 PM EST start time.

    I got pbp.

And I'm not gonna whine much about the lineup as its ST, but why would you DH Lewis while putting Gomes in the field?

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

Nice to see Santana back on the field after that nasty leg injury last year.
During my 18 years I came to bat almost 10,000 times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will average about 500 at bats a season. That means I played seven years without ever hitting the ball. ~Mickey Mantle, 1970

Watched him vs. Aroldis last year in Columbus. Crazy talent, pretty fun AB's.
