    87-75

Some surprises along the way and an offense that takes a step back, but still right there to the end.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

After winning the Division last year, anything less than 95 Wins is a falure IMO.

86-76. Too many guys fall-off from big years last year and not enough was done to offset it. The Bullpen will be great and the rotation adequate leaving the Runs Allowed to stay aout the same, but the offense falls by 50 runs from 2010.

Hope I'm wrong and somebody besides Votto and Bruce steps-up. Mesoroco and/or Francisco taking on bigger roles or Alonso coming along for LF could change everything.

Let's not blow things out of proportion. Only two teams in baseball won 95 games last year. Not winning 95 doesn't mean they've failed at anything other than exactly that. My prediction is 89 wins and a Central Division Title.

Time to be a powerhouse is now. Waiting to go for it won't make things any better.

    120-42..

That guess doesn't count because this isn't GL's official prediction thread, right?

I agree on your take of the season. I think we very well could take a step back, although my rose-colored glasses probably won't allow me to actually predict that.

But to call it a failure if we win less than 95 games is a bit silly, with all due respect. Time to be a powerhouse? We have a three year window, at the least. There's no reason to go ALL IN this year. If we take one step back, I fully expect to take two steps forward the following year.

    x2. This will be Gonelong's 10th year.
What if this wasn't a rhetorical question?

93-69, division title. Get the #2 seed behind the NLE Champ Phils. Play the NLW champ Rox in 1st round, win series 3-1. Play Phils (who beat WC Brewers in R1) in NLCS, lose 4-2. Phils beat AL Champ BoSox in WS, same score, 4-2.
