Reds up 3-2 after 4. Stubbs with a three-run blast, accounting for all the Reds runs. Lecure looks like a different pitcher out of the pen. He can add a couple mph to his pitches. I like him out of the pen a lot. Is Brandon Phillips hurt? He hasn't played in several days. For conspiracy theorists Renteria is starting and short and hitting second. Of course, that's where shortstops are supposed to hit.
Ronald Torreyes with a double off the wall in left. Nice.
I was at the game yesterday when Torreyes came up to bat. The reaction from those sitting around me was pretty much "Hey, they're letting the ballboy get an at-bat." I told the Royals fan next to me that I thought he had some pop (knowledge gained from being a loyal Redszone member).
Torreyes stung one down the left field line foul, then electrified the crowd with the double off the wall to left center. Probably the biggest reaction of the day- even Dusty was visibly chuckilng and smiling. Dusty also got off his chair to fist-bump Ronald when he later scored. Torreyes can't be more than 5'6'' and 165. I'll definitely be following his progress this year!
