    Reds/Padres Wednesday 03/09

    5-0 Reds after two.

Aaron Harang throwing some serious batting practice in the second as the Reds score five times. No surprise there. He is washed up. San Diego can have him.

    Alonso single to center.
Alonso moves to second on a wild pitch.
Heisey sharp ground single to left. Alonso to third.
Frazier dumps a single into right. Alonso scores, Heisey to second.
Hanigan homers to right-center. Heisey and Frazier score.
    Dorn singles to center.
Cozart flies into a force at second. Dorn out at second.
Sappelt doubles to right. Cozart scores.
Phillips grounds out to second. Cozart to third.
    Francisco flies out to left.
    Inning over. 5 runs.

    Re: Reds/Padres Wednesday 03/09

Chad Reineke shuts down the Padres in the first two frames.

Top of the third for the Reds against Harang and the fun never ends.

    Alonso walks.
Heisey homers to left. Alonso scores. 7-0.
    Frazier grounds out to short.
    Hanigan flies out to right.
    Dorn flies out to left.

I am guessing that is all for Harang on the day.

Daniel Ray Herrera on for the Reds in the home half of the third.
    DRH holds them scoreless.

Casey Kelly comes on for the Friars and pitches a perfect frame.

Moving on to the bottom of the fourth, Reds still lead 7-0.

Pads break their scoring drought, with an infield single and a double to left producing one run. 7-1. Grounder to third gets the second out. Danny Ray battling ex-Red Chris Denorfia with two down. Denorfia wins that battle. After running the count full he doubles to left. 7-2. Nibble nibble nibble 3-1 count on the next batter. A fly ball to Sappelt in center for out number three.

Sappelt drives in a run with a sac fly to right. Dorn scores. Cozart to third 10-2.
Negron singles to left. Cozart scores. 11-2.
Juan Francisco homers to right center. Negron scores. 13-2.
    Alonso flies softly to right.
Mesoraco lines a single to left.
Kyle Waldrop infield single to short. (changed to throwing error). Mesoraco to second.

It looks like Burton, Bray and Ondrewsek all pitched well. Big game for Heisy and Yonder. Francisco homered. Mesoraco had two hits. Jordan Smith did not pitch well.
