You can add NC State to the list of schools looking for a coach. Sidney Lowe has resigned. Which was no surprise.

NC State really needs a home run hire.

Based on location, proximity of talent, facilities etc, there is no reason that NC State cannot be on par with Duke and UNC, none.

The problem is that NC State has a fixation, much like a portion of the IU fan base) with hiring one of their own. Thus, the Les Robinson and Sidney Lowe hires, although Robinson coached under more trying (read: post-probation) circumstances than Lowe, whom many fans idiotically thought would be an upgrade over Herb Sendek. How'd that turn out?

    Wyoming? Not since Fennis Dembo.
I can top that. The Loyola of Chicago job is open. They haven't been relevant since the Alfredrick Hughes, Carl Golston days.

For the record, I believe that both Capel and Pelphrey deserved another year.

    Or not.

It's becoming much clearer that Mike Anderson will remain head coach at Missouri. Gabe DeArmond of PowerMizzou.com has tweeted there is a contract extension in the works. Adding fuel to this extension fire is Vahe Gregorian's (of St. Louis Today) article that Anderson's extension would add two years to his current contract and a bump in salary.

Kruger is a journeyman, he can get programs respectable but that's about it.

Must be as an assistant because Mike Anderson did take the job.
