Opening Day Anthem and First Pitch?

I'm getting anxious for information! Does anyone have a heads-up on when this info will be released?

    Usually it's announced before now.

Heard in passing on the radio today that there would be a big announcement next week from the Reds. How big [red machine?] I don't know, but I'd think it is probably that.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

Well, Joe Morgan is the grand marshall of the opening day parade. That would be my guess as to who is throwing out the first pitch.

A good friend of mine will be doing the Jimi Hendrix version of the national anthem at GABP on Opening Day.

Probably deserves its own thread, maybe not... but any good bars opening early on the big day? I know that two years ago I was at a place called Sullys and they did 5 cent PBR's if you had a ticket to the game. And afterwards it got out of hand.

This is the best the Reds can do for a first pitch? A retired police chief? Underwhelming, to say the least.

Seriously? This guy could walk through Kenwood Towne Centre on the day after Thanksgiving and barely be noticed.

    Hardly a celebrity
