It would be nice to see Leake have a solid outing.

    Reds top of first:

Stubbs hard hit ground ball to third. One away.
Phillips has the lumber working. Double into the left-field corner.
Bawk! Bawk! Phillips is given third.
Joey V. swing and a miss. Two down.
Rolen can't pick up Votto, bouncing out to Konerko to end the inning.

Blanco Sox up in the bottom of the first.

Pierre bounces right to Votto who wins the race to the bag for the first out of the inning.
    Beckham pops to Votto.
Big Donkey lumbers to the plate and lines the first pitch for a single to left field.
Votto has a hand in all three outs, underhanding to Leake to retire Konerko.

No score. On to the second.

I am not sure about those Budweiser coach/pep speech radio commercials. I really hope those don't play the whole season.

I am sure they will. Only drawback to listening to games on the radio is that the commercials get old in a hurry.

Top of second for the Reds.

Jonny Tomahawk leaves the park for the fourth time this spring. Gomes seems to be heating up at just the right time. He can definitely put a charge into a baseball. 1-0 Reds.
Bruce thanks Danks and strolls to first on a free pass.
Danks barehands the ball and starts a 1-6-3 double play at the expense of Hanigan.
Razor, DHing to get some ABs, whiffs.

    1-0 Reds after 1.5.

Which makes a platoon seem pretty logical to everyone except the Reds' skipper.

I have no idea why there is not a platoon. I really don't think Gomes would be emotionally crippled by only playing when he would likely put up great numbers.

    Reds third:

Ground out by Janish for out number one.
    Stubbs Ks.
    Phillips bounces to second.

This game is moving along quickly.
