    Opening Day festivities

    Hey all,

I'm flying in from NJ to be at opening day this year. It will be my first one ever...

I apologize if something like this has been posted already, but would someone be so kind enough to post any events/tips/times/etc. etc. that would help me out for next week?

    I cannot wait...
"Santana's pitching? That makes my day. Halladay? Carpenter? Wainwright? Lincecum? I can't wait. When Strasburg got called up, I wanted to face him," he says. "I'm not embarrassed to say it, I want to beat the best in the world, that's what I prepare for."

Whats up? It will be my first opening day as well, and i'm totally excited! My one big question is this...Does anyone know if any of the surrounding bars(Newport Including) are doing anything special or opening up earlier than usual?

This link is the press release from the Reds regarding the events of Opening Day and Opening Weekend. The parade starts at 11:00.

It's my first Opening Day as well and I can't wait! I'm looking forward to being a part of the hoopla and tradition.

I remember I attened opening day once in Kansas City, and they were down kinda big in the 9th. My mom's now ex BF had us leave and on the way home, they came back to win it. Wish I could go to the Reds festivities, I'll make it up there eventually.

Any responses would be appreciated by someone who has been there...
