    Eye on the ball...

How big would a sweep be in this opening series? The Cards really have no right to expect to compete with age setting in and their injuries. The Brewers have every right to expect to compete, but if the Reds rock them back on their heels right now it could have a lasting effect. The Reds are in position to set a tone for the season if they can close the deal with Milwaukee in this series. I would throw every arm available and leverage every matchup in the next two games to try and steal these ballgames. A sweep right now could carry through half a season, if not longer.

One game at a time...never get too high, never get too low. We were lucky to win the 1st game, let's worry about game #2 before we even consider sweeping. Throwing every arm available in the first 3 games of the season, treating them as if they are your last is a way to find yourself not even close to relevant in October.

A sweep right now would put us up 3 games with 179 to play. Remember when the Cardinals swept us last year after the brawl? Everyone thought that would carry them into the post season.

When did we pick up Mo Mentum? He's got to be a better pitcher than Mo Sanford.

I disagree, we are fans, we can do whatever we want. If we don't get too high or too low, it would be no fun. :

Of course we can as fans, but we just gotta hope Dusty and Walt don't follow the same up and down roller coaster mentality that most of us fans do.
