I hope he doesn't make a habit out of sitting Bruce against lefties when we just had an off day, but oh well. Looks like some runs to me.

Remember when this type of lefty used to be an auto-loss for the Reds?

8 Righties and Votto? That could me nightmarish for the young lefty. Let's hope it is.

LHB .175 vs Happ, RHB .245 vs Happ. Bruce 0-3, 2k.

We'll see if it's a good choice or not, but I like loading up on the Righties. BP has 2 hits, both homers vs Happ.

    Re: 4/5/11 Astros at Reds

The Astros are the only team in the NL yet to record a victory. Center fielder Michael Bourn (.083 average) and first baseman Brett Wallace (.091) combined to go 2-for-23 in the opening series.

Happ had originally been scheduled to pitch in Sunday's series finale against Philadelphia, his former team, but the Astros gave him some extra time due to a mildly strained right oblique. Happ and Bud Norris swapped spots in the rotation, and Happ said he's looking forward to his debut.

"I'm just anxious more than anything," he said. "I'm going to go out there Tuesday and try to calm myself, but I'm sure I'll be ready to go."

I think some of it has to do with keeping Heisey fresh after a great spring too
"Santana's pitching? That makes my day. Halladay? Carpenter? Wainwright? Lincecum? I can't wait. When Strasburg got called up, I wanted to face him," he says. "I'm not embarrassed to say it, I want to beat the best in the world, that's what I prepare for."
