Can someone tell me why Travis Wood isn't pitching today, but Volquez was allowed to pitch yesterday?

Wood pitched Saturday, right? Thursday would be his normal time to pitch again.

Or why Maloney isn't starting instead of LeCure?

Sac fly moves the runner to third. First and third, two down.

I'm not being sarcastic or anything. I'm seriously wondering why? There's no inning watch on Wood this year. At least any more than there should be on Volquez.

I had the same question. Maybe he still feels a little stiff?

Are we trying to go with an on/off again 6 man rotation to keep guys fresh into the summer?

Gomes Bruce Renteria. That sounds like a run to me.

Nice way to pitch out of the tight spot and give up no runs.

I think LeCure was starting this game all along. Nothing to do with Travis.

Gomes has been a walk machine so far in 2011.
