I know Sean Casey never says a bad word about anyone, but how can you refer to a wife beater like Brett Myers as "a good old country boy"?

I'd say nothing at all about Myers before I'd compliment him.

Maybe we should tell the pitchers that is ok to go 1,2,3 in the first.
They aren't considered un-American if they do

Stubbs retired on a shallow pop to RF.

    1 down, Phillips up.

Well, that was quick. 1-2-3 first for Myers.

So does that end JV's streak of games without an infield popout?

Yes, and in all honesty, Renturia is off to a good start too.
It's important to keep giving him playing time to keep him sharp.

IMO, after seeing Dusty manage Hernandez/Hannigan, I'm pretty convinced he's good at maximizing depth. Dusty tried to leverage different people in LF last year, but no one really stepped up to the opportunity so Gomes got the lion's share of playing time.. But now, we are seeing Heisey get another chance to grab playing time (and he's taking advantage of it so far).

LeCure not looking too sharp so far.

A ground ball DP would be nice.

Lazy fly ball from Quintero makes the second out, runner on 2nd advances to third.

    1st and 3rd for Myers.

What should we expect from our #7 starter?

You mean you don't have any rednecks down there? You don't know what you're missing out on Kidding of course.

LeCure gets out of the jam. 1-0 bad guys in the bottom of the 2nd.

It is nice when a guy like LeCure is the weak spot in the rotation. Years past, he'd be the #2.

Ks Myers to get out of the jam. Still 1-0 bad guys after 1.5
