    Good news/ Bad news

Good news! Here for Spring Break in Arizona.....taking my 9 yr old to the game tonight....which is the home opener for the DBacks. 5th row, 1/2 way down the LF line. Should be fun.

Bad News, the Reds have lost 9 of the last 10 games I've attended.

Yep. Been out in Los Angeles for a few years now for grad school. Last year was the first time I had seen the Reds win in years.

Hey that trend has to turn around at SOME point. Why not now?
Sabermetrics is this: A batter's goal is to extend the inning. Extend enough innings and you're going to score runs. Extend more innings than your opponent and you're going to score more runs than him.

Forget the rain. It's never an official game until the Reds piss away a run between third base and home plate. - Bluegrass Redleg

Sick 3 game sweep in Seattle last year.....now this.

Yes, we're at the game tomorrow....but will depart before Sunday's game, giving them a shot at avoiding a sweep.

I got a feeling your luck is gonna change tonight VR.

[but that could be my arthritis acting up too]

But I love taking my kids to games. You just can't beat that "bonding" time. My daughter is away in college now, and my 14 yr old Sam loves to go. The only problem is that he likes to pick up a souvenir each trip, and it's always been Griffey Jr related. Has a pretty extensive collection.

Yes, despite the loss....it was a fantastic experience. Last night I went with my youngest (9) of 4 sons.Opening night for the Dbacks, he brought a ball that was autographed by Aroldis....who also threw him one during BP that he later signed. F16 flyover, all the food you can eat, fireworks after the game and a one on one night w/ dad. He proclaimed it 'best day ever', even with the Reds loss.

Whole family goes tonight......let's hope we get to see a W by the Reds.

As the Reds move on to San Diego, it is once again my time to put the health of the pitching staff at risk though my attendance at the games. I think the curse was broken last year by my calling attention to it. Let's hope that is the case.
