Re: Sunday 4/10/11 minor league updates

Sappelt, who went 3 for 4 and raised his batting average to .500, recalled one of Willis' performances from spring training.

“He was completely dominating,” Sappelt said. “We faced a Double-A team, and I think he broke about seven bats, and they were just looking terrible. It was one of those things where I almost wanted to get a hot dog and a chair and sit out in the outfield.”

    Sappelt is a funny dude!

I will be watching the Bats game today. Should be interesting to see how Willis does. I wasn't too impressed with him in the spring, but, it was spring training so we shall see.

Don't like seeing Yonder playing first base. I want him to get as many reps in left field as possible.

D Train strikes out the side in the 3rd. So far the few hits he has given up have not been good contact at all, looking sharp so far.

According to the Bats twitter page, he's hitting 91-93 mph on the gun.

After three last night, Dominic D'Anna drew another walk. He's about to become very popular around here.

Hamilton also has his third error of the season. Even so, his all-important E:SB ratio remains pretty good.
