I would rather have Hernandez hitting sixth than Renteria since he has a little more power and Renteria would provide more speed on the bases in front of the pitcher. Using Dusty's logic the catcher always bats eight.

Agreed. But it also could be that this is only the 8th game. Good sign, but ill feel a lot better about it if he's playing these games this summer

I read that Dusty is going to give Rolen Wednesday off so he gets a couple of days off in a roll before they come back home Friday night.

I'd imagine we'll be seeing his starts falling off towards the end of the year as Francisco gets more comfortable with major league pitching. Good to see him healthy though.
