Guessing its just a routine off-day for Stubbs... he's started the first 9 games... if that's the case, I got no problem with it.

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

    We need a win tonight.

    Yes, I'm overreacting.

That combined with the fact that Dusty wants to get some playing time for Heisey. He's played quite well and needs some starts too.

I am still not getting the "Heisey is hot" and "Heisey has played quite well" comments being made.

    When does the game start?
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

Really wish the pathetic seasons of the Blue Jackets and Cavs would end so I could watch these games in HD!!!
During my 18 years I came to bat almost 10,000 times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will average about 500 at bats a season. That means I played seven years without ever hitting the ball. ~Mickey Mantle, 1970

Amen! Or that FSO would get their crap together and put the division champ-America's pastime Reds in HD over the CBJs and Cavs.

I don't think he's "hot" perse, but he had a fantastic spring where he was swinging the bat very well and in his limited exposure here in the regular season, he's played well. He's only 3 for 11, but with 5 rbi's, 2 walks and a SB....all that combined with well above average defense. Point being, he deserves some playing time.

I will say that when he's hit the ball, he's SMOKED the ball.

Who is staying up for all of this one? We're due for another 18 inninger.

I didn't realize how far Stubbs' stats had fallen. He must have been awful in the Arizona series.

And one more thing, this is a series if you're going to give Gomes some time off, it's the time to do it. Petco isn't conducive to his offense or his defense.

I've got an hour in me or until my laptop dies. Feeding the baby at 11 then calling it a night.

The lefty starting is the trump card for tonight. Unsure what the other matchups are.
