Chapman relieved Avery after four innings. He has one inning with one K...solid. Mudcats up 5-1 top of sixth.
Wow, this can't be happening.
So this is their chance to win their first series in nearly a year, right?
They do seem to be playing a little better lately. Campbell, Rodriguez, Skelton, Hamulack and Adkins have helped. Joseph's getting straightened out. Klinker's an asset. Webb's hot. Maybe there's some hope for their second half. A couple solid starting pitchers would go a long way. Any chance Hotchkiss will be back?
The Mudcats have lost 21 straight series.
Chapman has pitched two innings and struck out three with no BB or hits. DJ in now.
Lefty Donnie Joseph is in. 3 outs away.
Nice to see two perfect innings from Chapman.
2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 21 pitches/14 strikes
