Reds at San Diego Padres (4/12/11)

Let's make it two in a row

    Stubbs 8
    Phillips 4
    Votto 3
    Rolen 5
    Gomes 7
    Hangian 2
    Bruce 9
    Janish 6
    LeCure 1

The further you slide JB down in the lineup, the less fastballs he's going to see.... I'm not a fan.

True, but at the same time...the way he's hitting (or NOT hitting I should say), a lower spot in the order is what he's EARNED. Just like Hanny's earned to be moved up based on his performance. Something's got to kick Bruce out of the funk he's in. Maybe this is it.

And it shouldn't be our goal to get Bruce to see more fastballs because he's struggling with the breaking balls, it's to get him to SEE the breaking balls correctly. And that means he needs to see MORE of them IMO.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

I'd say Bruce has earned a place on the bench for this one and let Heisey play right, but oh well.

    Testing pics for tonight

    Looks like it worked.

Just deleted pic. I maybe able to post some pics, almost in real time from Petco tonight. Without express written permission from MLB, etc, etc...

Now that you mentioned it. But I don't think Gomes wipes his butt across the carpet. I could be wrong.

With what we've seen so far this year, I'm not sure that he would see fastballs with Gehrig, Ruth and post-millenium Bonds hitting behind him.

Then again, 4 lefties in a row? Yowser.

D'oh. I was looking at our lineup trying to figure out where you were seeing 4 lefties in a row. :O) A little slow on the uptake tonight at work apparently.

Is that where you're actually sitting RBA? Or did you just go down for the pic?

    If so...nice seats. :O)

Priss already gave up a couple runs in the 1st to the DBacks....

How will he be able to explain THAT to his kids?

Beat me to it. Funny thing too, I was going to call him Priss and mention his son. :O)
