Dayton is being delayed, but it sounds like it isn't in danger of being postponed.
Cueto gets a ground out, fly out, single on a grounder up the middle and a ground out on a nice play up the middle by Chris Valaika.
Cueto walked the first batter of the 2nd inning, but he was erased on a caught stealing later on in the inning. 2ip, 1h, 1bb, 0r, 1k. 18p/13k
Cueto goes 3.1 innnings - 55 pitches, 32 strikes
2 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned, 2 walks and 4 Ks
Bats down 2-0 in the 5th with Horst pitching
Mesoraco doubled off the top of the wall in right center field and scored on a Valaika single. Bats trail 2-1 in the 7th.
Indy scores 4 off Joe Krebs in the top of the 8th. Bats trail 6-1
Another nice game for Mesoraco as he went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. Sappelt was 1-for-5.
Dayton actually was postponed.
Cody Puckett's three-run homer in the first gave Carolina an early lead. It's now 3-2 in the third, with Dallas Buck pitching for the Mudcats. First game of a doubleheader at Huntsville.
Edit: It's now 5-3, Huntsville, after three complete.

Seeing Mike Costanzo in the Carolina lineup at third base reminded me . . . On the Reds' telecast today, they mentioned all the top talent at Louisville and showed a visual of a diamond with the Bats' regulars in their positions. They had Costanzo at third base and Frazier in left field. That put Alonso at first base. Not surprisingly, the guy left out, again, was Dorn. Poor guy seems invisible.
Puckett has now added a 2-run homer to tie the game 6-6 in the fifth. Arrendondo pitched two innings in relief of Buck.
Not quite sure how you score two runs on a ground out, first baseman to pitcher. But that's how Huntsville won the first game, 8-6.
Andrew (A.J.) Means and Eric Campbell have home runs for the Bakersfield boys, who lead 10-7 after four.
